Congratulei was started in 2014 by a stay at home mom with a desire to raise her kids to make a difference in the world. To teach her daughter it is okay to raise children but to also follow her dreams in a career she loves and to encourage her sons to be supportive of the decisions of the women in their lives.

From 2014-2020 a portion of the proceeds for each lei made went to supporting a children through a charitable organization called Compassion International. "Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult through a long-term approach, beginning in some cases with prenatal care and going all the way through leadership development for qualified young adults."

Starting in 2021, a portion of all sales now goes to a scholarship and mentorship created by Congratulei for kids within our own communities. This opportunity will walk with an incoming high school freshman throughout high school providing school supplies, such as beginning of the year supplies and items needed for major reports/projects. We will also provide tutoring in struggling subjects, a laptop, and other resources to help the students excel throughout high school. On graduation day the student will receive $5000 to the college of their choosing.
